Arroyo de la Miel, originally a separate village, lies between the coast and village of Benalmadena and is the home of the Tivoli World amusement park.
In the centre of town you will find the railway station, which connects Benalmadena with Malaga and Fuengirola. The frequent train service is used by commuters, tourists and visitors to the area and also to the Tivoli World entertainment park.
You will also find the Telecabina (Cable Car) which goes up to the highest point in the Malaga Province.
Arroyo has many great restaurants and bars and there is a big choice of self-catering holiday apartments. This is also a real residential town with a working population, good shopping centre, post office, banks, etc. It even has one of the very few women-only Gyms on the coast, Corpobello, which is opposite a large municipal swimming pool and the ice skating rink. 
Arroyo de la Miel also has a large Municipal Sports Centre, Polideportivo Municipal, with many all year round sporting activities and facilities:
Grass football pitch - 100x65 metres, an official, man made, 6 lane running and athletic ground, an indoor covered sports stadium for all sports, including handball, volley ball, badminton and basket ball, 3 halls off the stadium for other sports such as martial arts, 2 outside multi-use sports areas, 2 tennis courts, a 400 metre gymnasium and an aerobic room with the latest sprung floor.
